UK: Death related to slave-owning cult
THE London slave scandal that has made headlines worldwide has taken a dramatic new twist, with police investigating the death of a woman at a home “controlled” by the couple at the centre of the investigation.

Sian Davies, aged 44, fell two stories from a bathroom window of a house previously leased by Maoist cult followers Aravindan Balakrishnan and his wife Chanda, who have been charged over keeping slaves in their home for up to 30 years.
The Times reported that Davies, said to be part of a group called “The Collective, was left paraplegic in the fall on December 24, 1996. She died in King’s College Hospital in London in August 1997.
