September 20, 2013

Bangladeshi police have killed a protester on the second day of a nationwide strike over the death sentence given to a senior Islamist leader for war crimes…

At least 10 people were injured when police opened fire, five protesters and five officers, as police tried to disperse the activists…

Violence has flared throughout the country and schools and businesses have been closed since Jamaat-e-Islami called the 48-hour strike over the sentence handed to Abdul Quader Mollah for crimes committed during the 1971 war of independence.
