Egypt: 10-year-old girl shot dead by Islamists after Bible class

August 14, 2013

A 10-year-old Christian girl has been shot dead in the street amid rising tensions with Islamists.
Egypt’s Christian community gathered in a church in Cairo on Tuesday to mourn Jessi Boulus, who was shot as she walked home from Bible class at the Ahmed Esmat Street Evangelical Church where her uncle serves as the pastor.

The shooting happened last week, but came to light only yesterday as her family expressed anger over the failure of the police to identify the culprit.

If Islam can be threatened by a ten-year-old girl…

It’s a power struggle. Religion merely makes the sides more easy to identify, much as the strip and scarves at a football match. If there were no religion, they would still be murdering each another. But the hypocrisy is breathtaking.

  2. No, I don’t ‘like’ this story, but it’s good that you noticed it and posted about it. Religious fanatics have been the cause of far too many such murders. 😦

Ah, Religion…you gotta love it, right?
    LOL… Where’s my barf bag…
