US: Minister sentenced to jail for sexual abuse

November 24, 2011

Abilene Reporter-News

A former Sweetwater music minister was sentenced to 14 days in jail and 10 years of probation Tuesday after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child younger than 17.

The sentence given in the 32nd District Court in Sweetwater to Joshua Clell Wright, 24, also includes more than $4,000 in fines.

Wright was a former music min[i]ster at Trinity Baptist Church, where he taught choir to children for five years.

‘God will bring a healing’ says the fatuous pastor. No explanation of why God lets abuse happen in the first place, though.
